George Robert Peters Jr. June 7, 1952-December 15, 2015

My brother, my friend. As a little guy, he was called boy. As he grew and the siblings increased he was known a GeorgeR....  Mom said George was a wonderful little boy, well behaved and quiet. As a teenager he was hard on

his siblings. He was the tough country kid and grew into the high school football hero! High school football was also the cause on many of his health issues. Although hereditary he developed arthritis due to injuries during those football years. I asked him not to very many years ago if he knew how much he would suffer would he have still played football. Without hesitation he said YES! He told me that was the time of his life. He learned so much about commarotary, puntcuation, team spirit and being a team player. It wasn't until he was older that he began his relationships with his siblings. George married Linda K. French in May 1977, he found in her a true companion, friend and mate. On October 9, 1986 he became a dad. Cindi K. had a wonderful dad for her first 29 years. George was a heavy smoker and was told he had COPD, numerous health issues were very hard on him throughout his 50's but in his 60's he was not in very good health at all. After suffering a heart attack and complications he had 9 bypass surgery. He had complained of stomach pains for several days after he had his surgery only to discover he was bleeding internally with an ulcer. While in yet another surgery trying to stop the bleeding, his organs could not with stand the procedure and he passed away. George was saved in a Methodist Church while in high school. In the last several years he talked to me and Mike numerous times with questions about the bible, church and heaven. The last 10 years or so George became my friend. We talked a lot about a lot of things and I already miss those times so much. He was a Belton boy, he had no desire to ever move or leave his front porch. He loved this community, his friends, kids, food, his family and he touched the hearts of everyone he ever met.             I am better because he was in my life.

Chris Lyn Peters-Mitchell

Born  April 18, 1956    Berlin Germany

Died 04 Jan 2022       Kansas City, MO

Chris was the first-born daughter to Alvin and Janis Peters. She was the big sister to Karen and Carla. And a great mother to her daughter Jessica. Chris was an animal lover for as long as I can remember. She had several jobs but none as important as being an animal farmer. I knew she had emu's, ducks and geese and was called upon to help with rescue animals that needed some place to go. My memories stem from our yearly visit at our Peters family Thanksgiving's. We were 6 months apart and grew up with our many Thanksgiving visits. Playing together as little girls, to talking about boys in our teenage years. Chris was the sweetest, kindest and most loving person I have had the privilege to know. She is missed.     Rhonda Peters-Phillips
